Technel represents Scanivalve the world’s leading supplier of state-of-the-art intelligent pressure and temperature instrumentation. Systems totaling 1,500,000 channels have been delivered worldwide in support of flight test, engine testing, wind engineering, power turbine testing and any application where accurate, reliable high speed multi-channel measurements are required. Scanivalve's products include multi-channel pressure and temperature scanners featuring up to 64 independent channels with miniature footprint enabling their use in a wide range of applications. These intelligent scanners have ethernet capability enabling high speed data collection output in engineering units via Ethernet using TCP/IP protocol and an optional multi-range calibration feature to provide separate calibration ranges for individual sensors. Temperature scanners feature IEEE1588.v2 time synchronization to enable exact timing of measurements and incorporate RAM, integral low pass filters, 22 bit A/D converters and an on-board microprocessor in a rugged stand-alone module. Multiple standard thermocouple types may be used with one intelligent thermocouple scanner.

Scanivalve DTS4050 Digital Thermocouple Scanners accept either 16, 32, or 64 of type E, J, K, N, R, S, T, or B. They all come with 50-60 Hz noise rejection and 1000 VDC input isolation to ensure reliable data. Scan rate for these units is 640 Hz (meaning 40 samples per channel per second for the 16 channel unit) and output is via Ethernet protocol. Accuracy is ±0.25°C to 0.5°C depending on thermocouple type. The DTS4050 supports IEEE-1588 (known as PTP V2) to synchronize the DTS4050 internal clock over the Ethernet network.

Each DSA rack-mount enclosure accepts up to 8 DSA3016 pressure scanning modules. Each module is hot-swappable, requiring no system shutdown to change pressure ranges and incorporates 16 temperature-compensated pressure sensors for a total of 128 pressure channels. Scan rate is 625 samples per channel per second. The advantages of this system are the temperature compensation, its low data latency, and quick startup times. Communications interfaces are Ethernet or Serial RS-232. The DSA4000 comes furnished with a micro SD card which can be used for data storage and is easily removeable.

Model DTS4050/32Tx, Digital Temperature Scanner, accepts 32 thermocouple inputs. It incorporates RAM, Integral Low Pass Filters, 22 bit A/D converters, and a microprocessor, in a rugged stand alone module. An isothermal block is incorporated for the Uniform Temperature Reference (UTR) for each 32 channel input. NIST thermocouple tables for standard thermocouple types are stored in flash memory. The microprocessor uses these look-up tables to convert mV inputs to Engineering Units. Temperature data are output in °C, °F, °R, K, millivolts and counts.

Scanivalve Miniature ZOC modules are high frequency analogue pressure scanners designed to be installed inside scale models for wind tunnel research. Scanivalve ZOC modules interface to DSM or E-RAD service modules to form a complete pressure and temperature measurement system. Alternatively, these modules can be ordered with 0-2.5V or 0-5V DC outputs to work with customers’ in-house data acquisition systems.

The MPS4264 is a unique 64 channel pressure scanner versatile enough to be used for many applications. It is the perfect choice where space is limited such as wind tunnel models where it is also important to keep tubing length as short as possible. Significant improvements have been made in this next generation product with regard to accuracy when used in dynamic temperature environments. This also makes the MPS an excellent choice for wind tunnel testing or other demanding applications. Also available for the MPS is a Thermal Control Unit (TCU) designed to protect the MPS in harsh environments and provide temperature control when the module may be subjected to extreme temperatures.
