The Y-line transmitters have an extremely small temperature error. This is achieved using an additional circuit containing a temperature sensor that subdivides the temperature range into fields that are 1,5 Kelvin (K) wide. The TK zero and TK compensation values are calculated for each field and programmed into the additional circuit. During operation, these values are fed into the analogue signal path depending on the temperature. Each temperature is the "calibration temperature" for this transmitter. The Series 23 (S)Y/25 Y product line is outstanding due to its extreme ruggedness towards electromagnetic fields. The EI versions of these piezoresistive pressure transmitters, , are approved for use in highly explosion risk areas of group II (gas and dust). The pressure transmitters of the 33X series use digital compensation with a mathematical model to achieve exceptional accuracy of 0.05 %FS – in the temperature range from 10 to 40 °C, this value even corresponds to the total error band. Additional measurements and selections can optionally be used to achieve a precision (and also, if calibrated in an accredited test laboratory, an accuracy) of 0.01 %FS. In addition to the digital RS485 interface, the X-line transmitters have a rangeable, analog current or voltage output.
