Linear Transducers & Switches
Technel carries the Honeywell line of linear transducers and switches shown below. Many of these items are stock and can be delivered in short notice. These linear potentiometers feature rugged extruded aluminum housings to withstand harsh chemicals and immersion in oils or water. Construction features include extended life PTFE bearings, precious-metal multi-finger contact wipers, and MystR® conductive plastic thick-film elements. Honeywell pressure switches are small, low-cost switches actuated by hydraulic fluid or gas. They excel in harsh environments such as extreme weather conditions or particle-filled areas.

Originally manufactured by Waters, the Honeywell Data Instruments Longfellow-II is available in lengths to 48″. The Honeywell LFII linear potentiometer uses a proprietary MystR® conductive plastic film element and a vibration-damped wiper. Rated intrinsically safe for indoor and outdoor NEMA 4 environments, the Honeywell LF2 is a drop-in replacement for existing Waters, Data Instruments, Novotechnik, Gefran or Sfernice units. Nominal Resistance is 5000Ω over the specified electrical travel. Linearity is 0.1% FS.

The Honeywell LT is a 1/2 inch diameter linear potentiometer originally manufactured by Data Instruments. The LT uses a proprietary dual-wiper system and internal spring-loaded ball joint to provide smooth, reliable operation even at high vibration levels. The LT is available in lengths from 1″ to 10″. Nominal Resistance is 1000Ω/inch. Linearity is 1.0%, optionally 0.1% bfsl.

The Honeywell MLT is a 3/8 inch diameter linear potentiometer originally manufactured by Data Instruments. The MLT uses a proprietary dual-wiper system and internal spring-loaded ball joint to provide smooth, reliable operation even at high vibration levels. The MLT is available in lengths from ½” to 6″. Nominal Resistance is 1500Ω/inch. Linearity is 1.0%, optionally 0.1% bfsl.

Since Honeywell’s acquisition of Data Instruments, the DI-Waters Short-Longfellow has been manufactured in lengths up to 6″. The Honeywell SLF linear potentiometer uses a proprietary MystR® conductive plastic film element and a vibration-damped wiper. Rated intrinsically safe for indoor and outdoor NEMA 4 environments. Electrical Resistance is 1500Ω/inch, standard linearity is 1.0%FS, optional is 0.1%FS.
