Guildline 6623A-PCS2000

Because power transmission using DC voltages over long distances and under water is more efficient than A/C transmission, there is an increased demand for a precise high current source for testing cables and monitoring instrumentation. With the growing advent of off-shore wind farms and far North hydroelectric facilities such as Manitoba Hydro, the Guildline 6623A DC Power supply with a maximum limit of 10,000 Amps has become an important and necessary tool for research and testing.

NRC Ottawa has recently accepted and is currently testing the Guildline 6623A-PCS2000, a 2000 Amp supply. That very same power supply, Model 6623A, can be expanded to 10,000 Amps.

In business since 1957, Guildline Instruments Limited is a Canadian company. Guildline designs, manufactures Resistance Standards, Resistance Measurement Instruments, AC/DC Current Products and Temperature Measurement and Control Products such as Bridges and Fluid Baths.
